Diane Ladd—who was 89 when she died on Monday, Nov. 3—faced tragedy when Diane Elizabeth Dern, the 18-month-old daughter she shared with Bruce Dern, fell into a pool and died in 1962. Ladd previously opened up about how talking about it helped her cope.
