The weeknight part of the Mid-American Conference schedule starts in grand style on Tuesday, as rivals and perennial title contenders battle for supremacy when the Ohio Bocbats (5-3, 3-1 MAC) host the Miami RedHawks (5-3, 4-0 MAC).

Just over 2 years ago on a rainy afternoon in Athens, Ohio hosted bitter rivals Miami (OH) for the annual Battle of the Bricks rivalry. It was a massive game for both teams and the entire Mid-American Conference. Miami pulled off the huge win on Frank Solich Field, and walked off firmly in the drivers seat for a MAC title spot.

Sieh Bangura went the distance on a kickoff and Ohio struck late through the air as the Bobcats edged Miami 24-20 on Tuesday night in the Battle of the Bricks at Peden Stadium.

OXFORD, Ohio -- Brant Byers had 18 points in Miami (OH)'s 87-72 win against Old Dominion on Monday. Byers shot 6 for 9 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 4 of 5 from the free-throw line for the RedHawks. Evan Ipsaro scored 16 points and Peter Suder had 14 points.

Ohio University Bobcats and Miami University Redhawks went head to head Nov. 4 for the 102nd Battle of the Bricks.

In the 102nd Battle of the Bricks, a dominant performance from Sieh Bangura helped Ohio hand rival Miami its first loss in MAC play 24-20 following a thrilling 4th quarter in Athens on Tuesday night.

Star player Chase Hendricks and the Ohio Bobcats (5-3) face the Miami (OH) RedHawks (5-3) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET, at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium. This game will be available on ESPN2.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers start the season at home against the Miami (OH) RedHawks. Monday's matchup is the first this season for the two squads.
