The CEOs of American Airlines and United Airlines will attend a White House roundtable with Vice President JD Vance Thursday as the aviation industry urges an end to a 30-day government shutdown that has disrupted thousands of flights,

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the annual White House Halloween celebration on the South Lawn, featuring trick-or-treat booths and festive decorations.

Tours will resume on December 2 as part of a celebration of the holiday season, the White House said in a statement posted to its website. The tours will feature Christmas decorations on the State Floor, with each room "thoughtfully designed and curated under the direction of First Lady Melania Trump."

Visitors, who ordinarily would have entered through the East Wing, will be using an “updated route,” the White House said.

The White House cast doubt on media reports suggesting President Donald Trump's administration is poised to strike military targets in Venezuela imminently.
