Houston weather: FOX 26 Storm Alert starting Friday night
HOUSTON - A Fox 26 Storm Alert is in effect for Friday night, Saturday and through Sunday morning. As moisture returns today, spotty downpours have popped up along with a few storms. Keep an umbrella handy for possible brief showers through this evening, then spotty storms Friday afternoon and evening.
The cooler air moving in behind Tuesday’s front will bring in one of the better Halloween forecasts that we’ve seen. Temperatures will be in the low 70s for the little ones late afternoon and mid to low 60s Friday evening!
Meteorologist Chita Craft says temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to low 90s on Tuesday before a cold front moves in this evening. Expect a few showers or isolated thunderstorms between noon and 5 p.m. Rain chances sit around 30%, with clouds building throughout the day.

Houston weather: Halloween temps might give you goosebumps!
Happy Halloween! The afternoon will be sunny and pleasant in the 70s, but things will start to turn 'ghoulish' as temperatures fall to the 60s.
Along with cooler temperatures, the Texas A&M Forest Service says there is the potential for higher wildfire activity in the lower Gulf Coast and South Texas due to high winds and low relative humidity.
Gusts with the cold front could be 35 to 40 mph, enough to break tree limbs, trigger power outages, and blow away outdoor Halloween decorations.
