Despite the ongoing government shutdown, NASA did manage to complete a major milestone in its effort to send astronauts back to the moon.

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket will once again soar over Arizona after launching from Southern California to deploy Starlink satellites.

SpaceX launched a rocket Wednesday morning that will send three missions into space. The Falcon 9 rocket carried two spacecraft for NASA and one for NOAA. Liftoff from Kennedy Space Center went as planned at 7:30 a.m.

The International Space Station is marking 25 years of nonstop human presence in orbit. Nearly 300 people have lived aboard the scientific outpost.

NASA Artemis 2, the first crewed mission of its Artemis programme, is now targeted for early 2026. Four astronauts will be flying around the Moon on a 10-day journey aboard Orion without landing, marking a giant step toward future Moon landings and Mars missions.
