Kaulig Racing will not compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series next season nor for the foreseeable future, as confirmed on Wednesday morning by team president Chris Rice.

After 27 wins and 141 top-fives, the team will shift gears to develop RAM’s Truck Series program before an eventual Xfinity return.

“Having (that) type of incident after the checkered flag, it’s just not something we’re going to tolerate,” Sawyer said Tuesday morning on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. “We’ll get with our team today, discuss it and see what the next steps are.” Any penalty could come later today.

Joe Gibbs Racing driver William Sawalich is set to miss the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Phoenix Raceway after suffering from concussion-like symptoms after a crash at Talladega Superspeedway. As he will sit out the season finale, the 19-year-old is working to be able to return for the start of the 2026 season at Daytona in February.

Prior to Friday's Cup Series session was practice in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Corey Day is back in the No. 17 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet this weekend and was fast off the truck, turning in the fourth-best lap time at 28.143 seconds.
