The FAA released a list of 40 airports where air traffic will be lowered by 10%. Included on the list were Newark, Teterboro, JFK and LaGuardia airports.
Of the 40 "high-volume" airports in the United States that will have reduced air traffic by 10% starting Friday morning, 33 of them have flights to/from Kansas City International Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) cut 4% of flights across 40 major airports in the United States on Nov. 8. So far, the cuts have lead to more than 100 canceled in Florida. Flights in and out of the Pensacola International Airport have seen at least four delays and six cancellations.
While Boise is not one of the hubs designated for flight reductions by the FAA, many of Boise's connecting hubs are being affected.
NYC airports are also on the FAA list of 40 airports across the nation where 10% flight reductions are set to begin Friday.
