Tulane releases updated statement after 3 ‘aggressive’ monkeys get loose in Jasper County
JASPER COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - Tulane University has released an updated statement after an accident in Jasper County left multiple monkeys on the loose. On Tuesday afternoon, a truck carrying Rhesus monkeys on I-59 overturned. Some of the primates escaped, leading law enforcement on a pursuit and shutting down traffic in the area.
Three other rhesus monkeys were still on the loose as of Wednesday after the truck carrying them rolled over on a highway in Mississippi, law enforcement officials said.
